Our dedicated 250mm travel nitrogen-charged rear shock has been developed in conjunction with our engineering partners TracTive Suspension in the Netherlands. Offering a wide range of spring rates and correspondingly improved damping characteristics to suit all-terrain conditions this shock is a great improvement to the CRF series.

Shock Features:

This unique big-body shock features a huge 46mm diameter body and piston (similar to those used for our KTM 690 and Yamaha Tenere 700 rear suspension) which offers a dramatic increase in oil flow for far more precise damping control under a wide range of conditions, and more oil capacity to help reduce fade.
The nitrogen-charged shock body features a separation piston to eliminate foaming, and provides consistent damping characteristics, be that during prolonged rough-terrain off-road riding or more spirited highway riding, and whether you are solo or laden with luggage.

OPTIONAL HYDRAULIC PRELOAD ADJUSTER: (SELECT FROM DROP-DOWN BOX ABOVE) - AVAILABLE TO FIT CRF300L & RALLY MODELS-NOT CRF250L & RALLY

This useful product has been designed for riders that want quick, easy adjustment of spring preload.
It will allow the preload to be adjusted by up to 15mm with the simple turning of a knob on the remote adjuster, which adjusts the preload on the spring by means of hydraulic pressure.
The remote adjuster knob can be rotated approximately 20 turns to achieve the full movement of the preload piston travel. The knob has a "click" every half-turn to aid setting.
It is a very simple, quick way to adjust the preload when carrying extra luggage, or a passenger, or going from street to off-road travelling.
No more hammering away at the OEM preload adjuster locknut, and struggling to turn it.
Simple to fit, and no maintenance required.
Supplied with all fixings, including 2 different HPA adjuster handle brackets for both Euro 5 & non-Euro 5 models.

Please note that while our LEVEL 2 250mm travel CRF shock offers the same overall travel as the OEM specification, now you have the rear of the bike sprung with correct rate for your weight (ie.without the excessively soft sag of the OEM components) correspondingly you will have effectively raised your ride/seat height by around 30-40mm (depending on your personal sag preference) - in other words, you now have more of the total travel available than before, and a corresponding increase in seat height and ground clearance.

In that regard, while it is perfectly possible to fit our 250mm travel LEVEL 2 rear shock independently of any other upgrades, we would recommend you consider matching it with our dedicated LEVEL 2 fork kit for a properly matched ride-height and geometry - offering a high performance suspension set-up front and rear.

We also suggest fitting our own longer side stand (RRP 749) when upgrading to the Level 2 suspension, as the taller seat height of the bike will cause it to lean over excessively when on the OEM side stand.
