This Closed Cartridge Fork Kit has been developed specifically to take your Yamaha T7 Tenere on overland travels with frequently and heavily changing load and terrain conditions. Our Closed Cartridge, designed and developed in conjuction with Tractive Suspension in the Nederlands, brings the front suspension of the Yamaha T7 Tenere to the next level of driving pleasure and performance.
It has the same 200mm travel as the OEM fork, but with a much higher performance and adjustability.
Choice of 2 linear-wound fork springs (polished),spring rate choices 6,0N/mm (up to 95kg rider) & 6,4N/mm (above 95kg), just select drop-down option.

Benefits for the rider:
Wide range of load conditions-from soft rear bags to boxed luggage system and/or pillion - will be compensated by the adjustment ranges of spring preload, rebound and compression level. The cartridge can be completely adjusted from the top, in both compression and rebound damping, and spring preload.

In a Closed Cartridge, oil and nitrogen are separated by a bladder, in a closed aluminium tube. This guarantees constant and temperature-independent absorption, preventing foaming and cavitation, to achieve consistent damping.

Tractive use the largest piston available on the market, the piston in the cartridge is 35mm diameter, whereas the OEM open cartridge piston is only 20mm diameter, giving an increase of over 350% in surface area for the shims, allowing for much more precise, and controlled damping. 

The Closed Cartridge thus guarantees a more sensitive and more comfortable reaction of the fork.

The seperate rebound and compression adjustment, one in each leg, always allows for an effective and precise suspension adjustment, which perfectly matches your personal driving style. It was built for each road condition and purpose of use - whether you drive on motorways, main roads, smaller country roads, off-road tracks, whether you are on a long-distance travel with a huge luggage volume or whether you drive fast and ambitiously.

If extremely heavy road conditions act on the front wheel, the integrated "hydraulic endstop" (PDS) avoids mechanical impact on the fork, and ensures a smooth, final deceleration to the fork under full compression.

You will experience a completely new driving sensation with your motorbike.

The basic setup is adapted to demanding adventure riders with, or without, luggage or passenger.

If you do not have access to a battery impact driver, or air gun, to remove the compression adjuster in the bottom of the fork leg, then we recommend purchasing our Fork Cartridge Tool, RRP 660, in order to make removal of the OEM fork cartridge simple.

Both fork legs require 15 SAE oil with 100ml volume each leg.
