Our own design of a shorter, steel fabricated side stand, to replace the OEM alloy side stand, for those T7 owners with lowered suspension. It is 30mm shorter than stock, but has the same shape footplate as OEM, and fits using original pivot bolt and side stand switch, and cover, see attached instructions.
When fitting lowering links, especially 40mm or 50mm lowered, then the motorcycle will not lean over enough when on the OEM side stand, which can cause it to fall over.
Our version allows for the bike to lean over safely with the lowered suspension, and comes complete with a new side stand spring, which is 50% stronger than OEM, and single coil, rather than the weaker twin coil stock spring.
Another advantage for shorter riders is that once the bike leans over further, with the new stand, then it is much easier to swing your leg over the saddle to mount or dismount the bike.
Simple to fit, and supplied with spring puller tool and 10mm hex bit to remove rear pivot plate bolt, which can be difficult to access with a normal allen key when centre stand is fitted.
